Cullen Community Centre – July Update

It’s been a busy and exciting few months at Cullen Community Centre, and I’m delighted to share a quick update on what’s been happening and what’s coming next. As many of you know, my role focuses on strengthening community activities, improving access, and supporting the brilliant groups already using the centre — and things are really starting to take shape.

The Haven continues to grow as a welcoming space for families, with weekly sessions, early years activities, and our new Cuppa & Company drop‑in offering a friendly place for connection and support. We’re also developing our Gaffers Gardening Gang, a hands‑on community gardening group that brings people together to learn, grow, and make Cullen bloom.

Behind the scenes, work is progressing on future projects including the Hydroponics project, building improvements, and plans for a monthly Farmers Market to bring local producers and the community together, with the launch date set for Sunday 6th September. We also have a brand new Scottish Country Dancing class starting on 19th August which will be every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm – 9pm (registration will be required). In addition to all of this we will be hosting Cullen’s very 1st Community Hoedown on Saturday November 14th from 7pm-11pm with music and entertainment from JP the DJ, a fully stocked bar and food for a night of fun, dancing and…..did I mention FUN?!!
